FAWWA Poets in Residence 2006
The Poets in Residence Progam has been filled for 2006.
ArtsWA funding has been received
for a joint program by Peter cowan Writer's Centre and the FAWWA,
called "Working Together 2006".
At Tom Collins House we'll have four poets in residence:
Established poets:
Michael Farrell - VIC [February]
Mark O'flynn - NSW [September]
Emerging poet:
Sarah French [April]
Young Poet:
Lily Chan [July]

Since the FAWWA began their Writer In Residence Program in 1998,
it has proven to be a valuable tool in achieving FAWWA’s ambition
of supporting, promoting and advocating the needs and interests of
writers.
Residencies are designed with two primary objectives in mind;
to provide writers with the time, environment and finance to develop
their writing craft and to provide the opportunity for FAWWA members
and the wider community to have access to emerging and
established writers.
We have three residencies
available for young, emerging and established writers.
In 2006 FAWWA is offering its residency program specifically to poets in order to foster poetry in the State.
