This workshop is aimed at people who want to make money from writing and editing – perhaps, like many of us, to support the creative writing habit – yet know little or nothing about setting up a business. It is designed to give participants enough information and confidence to get started. Everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask!

The course focuses on the steps that need to be taken to start writing business.
Judith has taken advantage of being anchored to home by a young child to set up a home based writing business to support her lifelong interest in creative writing. Starting from scratch with no previous experience of business, she has learned a great deal about the whole process of becoming self employed as a writer. With extensive experience in
training, she is well placed to share what she has learned with others.
About Judith Wilkinson
Judith returned to Perth in 2003 after years of travelling and working abroad, bringing with her an Irish husband and a little daughter. She finished her arts degree at UWA in 1977 and went on to Melbourne to train as a social worker. Studies complete, Judith embarked upon her year of travelling abroad - but this stretched to twenty years when she settled in Oxford and later Dublin. In latter years, Judith moved into management and training, completing a masters degree in business studies in Dublin. Never one to sit still, Judith
embarked upon her newest venture - starting a writing business – knowing a lot about writing but little about business. She has found the process challenging and enjoyable and looks forward to developing the business she has started."
